Coach Kim Leaves Invictus Gaming

"The contract with IG was terminated on November 19th, China time."

On the 19th of November (CST), iG's head coach, Kim announced that he is a free agent and will be finding a new team.

Joining the team on May 21, 2018, Kim succeeded to shape iG as one of the best LPL team in less than 4 months. In the 2018 Summer split, he and his players made it through the regular split on 1st place. Although they lost against RNG 2:3 in the Summer Finals, on the 3rd of November, he and his team defeated Fnatic in the 2018 Worlds Finals and made it to the top of the Worlds; this only took him less than 2 months after being defeated in the 2018 LPL Summer Finals.

Kim did not state any specific reasons for his departure. Despite his sudden leave, he still seemed to be eager to find a new team for next split. The former head coach of iG ended his short statement by saying, "I would like to share that I am open to talk with all teams from now on."
