Cloud9 Announced Its Roster for 2017, Signing Cain on as a Coach

Cloud9 revealed the lineup of its players and coaching staff for the 2017 season of the League of Legends Championship Series through its official YouTube channel.

While retaining Hangyu “Reapered” Bok, Nuri “Cain” Jang was appointed to be the assistant coach. Cain made his pro debut as support for Najin e-mFire in 2012 and transitioned into a coaching career with CJ Entus starting in November 2015. Cain promised that he will “help the team win through its strong laning phase, without allowing the opponent a chance to make a comeback.”

Meanwhile, Jiwon “Ray” Jeon from Apex Gaming has joined the team as a substitute top laner, acting as a backup to Eonyeong “Impact” Jung. William “Meteos” Hartman has stepped down to substitute jungler, and he will be succeeded by Juan "Contractz" Garcia from Ember.

Other players will be retaining their position, with Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen as midlaner, Zachary "Sneaky" Scuderi as AD Carry and Andy "Smoothie" Ta as support.
