KZ GorillA: "In every interview, I said that Jin Air is a frightening opponent that has a deadly blow. Well, we were hit hard against them. (laughs)"

Kingzone DragonX defeated Hanwha Life Esports 2:1 on the second series of the 2018 LCK Summer split day 36 and advanced to second place in the standings. In games 2 and 3, GorillA used Alistar and Soraka; he managed to successfully protect his teammates and helped the team to win the series.

The following is the interview with GorillA.

How do you feel about winning the series?

It’s such a relief that we’ve won since every single match is so important for us right now.

What was the reason for your defeat in game 1?

Hanwha Life Esports tries to organize the game using SeongHwan's lead. We totally lost our tracks by that. It was a relief that we recovered in games 2, 3 and used our own ways to win the series.

There was a dangerous moment in game 2 when the opponent stole the Baron.

We knew that there was quite a big chance of losing the Baron. After getting stolen, we just hoped that the game didn’t end. Well, it didn’t end and that’s how we won.

Because Kingzone won and Griffin lost, now the two teams are even on W/L rates.

In every interview, I said that Jin Air is a frightening opponent that has a deadly blow. Well, we were hit hard against them. (laughs) I know that Jin Air is facing kt Rolster and Gen.G in their remaining matches. I’m going to be rooting for them [Jin Air].

You seem to have been improving your performance these days. Where there any special reasons?

I think my performance improved while finding champions that suits our team style in scrims. Also, while we were losing and winning, I found out more about our problems and our strengths. I focused on these things and it helped.

Any last words?

Since I know what it feels like to be in first place for the regular season, I really want to advance to the top. However, in order to be in first place, other teams have to lose. Well, I’m going to try to focus more on winning our remaining matches. We’ll prepare well, so I hope you’ll support us on our future schedules.
