LZ Peanut: "I got Kicked out of SKT? All these rumors are completely false."

In the OGN eStadium in Seoul (29th), the 2nd round of the 2017 LoL KeSPA Cup quarterfinals took place between Longzhu Gaming and Jin Air Greenwings. Longzhu Gaming went 2:1 against Jin Air and qualified for the semi finals. Considered one of the best players in the player market, Peanut transferred from SKT T1 to Longzhu and made his appearance on the main stage. Peanut showed his aggressive style of play with Shyvana and Lee Sin, leading his team to victory.

Below are the interview responses from Peanut.

¤ I am curious about how you feel regarding today’s victory.

Because I was looking for new teams, I didn’t have much time to practice. I have only had 3 days worth of practice and had no other practice aside from scrims. I ended up debuting for Longzhu and I am extremely happy that we won.

¤ Were you nervous about the games today since you had a minimal amount of time to prepare?

Since I lacked time to prepare, I was nervous for the games because of their importance. I actively tried to mix well with the team and to be of as much help to my team as possible.

¤ How did you feel meeting your former teammates PraY-rilla?

Because I played a lot with them before, there was not much difficulty in synergizing with them. I played the same way as I played with them last year, helping each other out.

¤ Why did you answer the Jarvan pick with Lee Sin?

Jarvan is really good at teamfights and taking initiative. I picked Lee Sin in the 3rd game, but it was not a pick I practiced a lot with. At Worlds, it was not a meta for Lee Sin. Although I couldn’t prepare as much as I would have liked to, I think today’s games went really well.

¤ How is the current atmosphere in Longzhu?

It is a lot brighter than I expected it to be. I think it is a huge plus that the atmosphere is really good. Although game 3 was perfect, games 1 and 2 weren't. There's still more that can be gained.

¤ How do you feel about facing against SKT T1 in the semifinals?

I'll play with the mindset of "I am going to learn a lot when facing against SKT."

¤ Was there any pressure competing with Cuzz?

I don’t feel a lot of pressure right now. However, just like how there exists competition between the starting member and the sub in SKT, there is always a bit of pressure.

¤ Any last words you want to say to your fans?

First of all, I am happy I won today. I hope to show a better performance in the future. There is one thing I want to say. There are a lot of rumors going around about me, and fans are disputing over it. There were rumors saying that I got kicked out of SKT or that I left because of a bad disagreement. All these rumors are completely false. I wish people would stop assuming things. After a good discussion, I left the team in good spirit. I wish the fans would stop fighting with one another.
