Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-kyu) announced on the 6th that it has added various content to its open world action RPG, 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' (developed by Netmarble F&C), including the new hero 'Derieri'.

The highlight of this update is the arrival of 'Derieri', a member of the 'Ten Commandments', the strongest combat group of the Demon Clan from the original manga, 'The Seven Deadly Sins'. This marks the first time a 'Ten Commandments' hero has joined 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin', promising a fresh experience for fans of the original series.

In the game, Derieri can wield gauntlets, a greatsword, and an axe, utilizing different combat styles depending on the weapon. She captures her relentless dueling style from the original work through a combo mechanism that increases damage as she attacks enemies affected by the 'Duel' effect, and an ability to use her ultimate skill without consuming mana once she reaches maximum stacks. Additionally, she possesses support abilities that boost the combat power of fire-attribute allies, allowing for diverse strategic combinations.

To celebrate the Derieri update, Netmarble is holding a pickup summon event and a trial event from August 5 to 26, where players can try out the new hero firsthand.

A new event story, 'Reunion in Chaos', has also been released. Set in the world after the Holy War, the story follows the reappearance of the 'Ten Commandments' and the various factions surrounding them. Players can experience a new narrative while tracking the truth behind the events alongside Tristan, and earn various rewards such as Star Fragments, Enhancement Stones, weapons, and gold upon completing the story.

Content that allows players to relive the excitement of the original work will also be introduced on the 12nd. In the new quest, the first episode of the anime and manga, 'The Beginning of the Adventure', is recreated in-game, allowing players to experience iconic scenes such as the first meeting between Meliodas and Elizabeth and the battle against the Holy Knight Twigo.

Additionally, the new event content 'Chaos Biting the Desert' will run from August 12 to 26. Players can battle the legendary entity 'Calvash' in a cooperative raid featuring up to 15 participants, and earn various growth resources through event missions and the exchange center.

A 0.5-year anniversary eve attendance event will also be held from August 12 to 26. Players can receive 'Epic Draw' tickets and 'Rare' growth resources simply by logging into the game.

'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' is a multi-platform open world RPG based on the popular 'The Seven Deadly Sins' IP, which has recorded over 55 million copies in cumulative sales worldwide. Players can freely explore the continent of Britannia and enjoy various strategic actions, such as hero-tag combat and powerful combination skills.
