Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 23rd that it is recruiting participants for the alpha test of 'Mabinogi Eternity,' an engine replacement project for the popular MMORPG 'Mabinogi.'

'Mabinogi Eternity' is an engine replacement project that Nexon has been working on since 2023 to ensure the long-term service of 'Mabinogi.' This alpha test is the first to be conducted with a large number of users and will run for four days, from September 3 to 6. Through this test, Nexon plans to evaluate core gameplay loops, ranging from early-game progression to combat and life content, based on actual user play.

Nexon is accepting applications for the alpha test until August 12, with the final list of participants to be announced on August 25 at 12:00 PM. Users who wish to participate can apply by logging in with their Nexon ID on the alpha test recruitment page of the official Mabinogi website, verifying their mobile phone number, and completing a survey.

In addition, Nexon will hold events for test participants. First, it will operate a 'Leaderboard' consisting of seven categories, including combat, life, fashion, and community, and award limited titles and Nexon Cash based on individual play records and rankings.

The company will also recruit creators for a 'Drops Event.' Selected creators who broadcast on their respective live platforms will provide limited Drops rewards of 5k Nexon Cash per viewer, depending on the number of concurrent viewers.
