On the 28th, Riot Games officially unveiled its plans for a major update to Act 2 of the 2026 season for its PC MOBA game, League of Legends (LoL).
A key highlight of this act is the arrival of the new champion, Roke. Roke is an assassin with immense potential who uses nails as a weapon; players will be able to play as Roke starting with Patch 26.13, which goes live in June. Additionally, the popular game mode 'ARAM: Chaos' is receiving a major overhaul. The existing augment sets, which combined augments for bonus effects, will be disabled. In their place, some effects will be replaced with new augments, significantly increasing player freedom. Over 50 new augments will also be added, including skill augments that modify champion abilities to provide a fresh experience.
In Summoner's Rift, the 5-player ranked mode, which allows matchmaking only for full parties, will return for a limited time. While this mode has no tier restrictions for party members, it will be available only during specific weekend hours from June 26 to September 6 to ensure balanced matchmaking and smooth queue times. Sanction systems are also being strengthened to foster a healthier in-game environment. Starting this act, a feature will be introduced allowing players to instantly report others who send malicious messages via whisper. This follows the introduction of the early surrender vote feature for unsportsmanlike conduct in Patch 26.10.
A diverse lineup of new skins has also been revealed. The 'Sinful Beach' skin line will feature LeBlanc (Prestige), Hwei, and Brand. To commemorate the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), 'Broken Covenant' skins for Aurora, Shen, and Jhin will also be released, with a portion of the proceeds going to participating teams. Furthermore, the 2025 LoL World Championship commemorative skins are set to be officially unveiled this July.
Meanwhile, key developers, including LoL Executive Producer Paul Bellezza, will visit the MSI 2026 event, which will be held in Daejeon, South Korea, from June 28 to July 12, to engage directly with Korean players. The second act of LoL 2026 Season 2 will be available for preview on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) starting the 28th, with the official update arriving on live servers on June 11.
