Team42 (CEO Na Sung-soo), the developer behind the chat-based mobile mafia game 'Mafia42', has released the first official trailer and website for its highly anticipated upcoming MMORPG, 'World of Slime'. Previously known only through fragmented development updates and concept art, the game is now capturing gamers' attention by showcasing detailed in-game footage for the first time.
The newly released video introduces a wide array of the game's core features. Viewers can see systems for capturing and synthesizing various slimes, a bonding system that allows players to ride their slimes, real-time online content for hunting and PvP with other players, and a variety of leisurely life-skill activities. The trailer also highlights the social joy of playing with friends, a hallmark of the MMORPG genre.
Starting with this reveal, Team42 plans to engage directly with users at PlayX4, held at KINTEX in Ilsan starting on the 21st. The dedicated 'World of Slime' booth will be themed to reflect the game's atmosphere, offering visitors a challenging and thrilling experience to build anticipation for the official launch.
The booth will feature an interactive 'Slime Synthesis Lab,' a space modeled after an in-game location where users can experience the slime synthesis system firsthand. Additionally, a 'Slime Collection Tournament' will be held to make the game demo even more exciting. Participants who achieve the highest collection score within a set time will be awarded premium gaming gear, including an LG Gram AI Pro.
Following its debut at PlayX4, 'World of Slime' will continue to release information leading up to its official launch in the winter of 2026. The game will support cross-platform play between mobile and PC, aiming to provide an optimal experience where users from various environments can come together and play.
