Esports tournament organizer BLAST has signed a multi-year partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to host four major arena events in Singapore, solidifying the city-state’s role as a hub for competitive gaming in Asia.
The deal comes on the heels of last year’s BLAST Premier World Final, which sold out the Resorts World Convention Centre and drew some of the top Counter-Strike teams for a $1 million prize pool. That event marked BLAST’s debut in Southeast Asia, attracting fans from across the region.
The first tournament under the new agreement will be BLAST Dota Slam Singapore, scheduled for Nov. 7-9, 2025, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The event will feature elite Dota 2 teams, a $1 million prize pool, and a broadcast spanning over 50 territories in 21 languages.

BLAST Sign Multi-Year Deal with Singapore Tourism Board to Host Four Premier Esports Arena Events in Singapore BLAST Chief Business Officer Leo Matlock called the arrangement one of the company’s “biggest commitments to a market,” citing Singapore’s enthusiastic fan base. “Singapore delivered one of the most passionate and engaged esports crowds we’ve ever seen,” Matlock said, adding that the partnership would ensure the city remains a fixture on the global esports calendar.
Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive of STB’s Experience Development Group, said the events will help boost Singapore’s profile and economy. “Large-scale international esports events create significant opportunities for our tourism ecosystem, benefiting local businesses and growing the local events and esports industries,” Ng said.
The agreement is projected to generate tens of millions in economic impact through tourism, job creation, and global media exposure. Singapore will join BLAST’s international circuit alongside cities such as London, Lyon, Austin, Hong Kong, and Rio de Janeiro.
