Guardian fireteam “Milito,” “Dabs,” “Enskeria,” “Silken,” “mitcH” and “Ham” secured the World First completion of Destiny 2’s latest raid, The Desert Perpetual, following its July 19 launch as part of The Edge of Fate expansion. The milestone crowns their effort with the series’ time‑honored tradition of physical raid belts, awarded to the first fireteam to conquer each new pinnacle activity.
Developed by Bungie, The Desert Perpetual challenges six-player squads with intricate encounters, environmental hazards and boss mechanics woven into a shifting desert temple. The raid’s debut weekend saw thousands of Guardians worldwide race for the World First title, but only this six‑member team overcame every obstacle.
Completion of the raid also unlocks access to a suite of Bungie Rewards products. Players who clear The Desert Perpetual by 9:59 a.m. PT on August 29, 2025, gain eligibility to order the Desert Perpetual Raid Jacket and Kadet Max Sling Bag by Chrome Industries, with order windows closing October 7, 2025. Those who finish by 9:59 a.m. PT on December 2, 2025, can claim the Desert Perpetual Raid Pin and the Atemporal Title Pin, available to order until January 6, 2026.

The Desert Perpetual forms the centerpiece of The Edge of Fate, which kicks off Destiny 2’s new multi‑year Fate Saga. This saga’s Ultimate Edition bundles the Renegades campaign, the Desert Perpetual raid, a new dungeon, the Exotic Sniper Rifle New Land Beyond (with ornament and catalyst), four rewards passes, the Dark Side Legends bundle, the Year of Prophecy Exotic Sparrow and a cache of in‑game materials.
Looking ahead, Bungie plans its next major update, Ash & Iron, for September 9, offering additional content to all Destiny 2 players. The Renegades expansion is slated for December 2, 2025, further advancing the Year of Prophecy narrative. Players and fans alike are already strategizing their next raid runs, emblematic of Destiny 2’s enduring competitive spirit.
