Who shined the brightest? - 2023 LCK Awards to be held Dec. 13

 

The anticipation is high as the LCK gears up for the 2023 LCK Awards, set to take place on December 13th at 7 PM at the IVEX STUDIO in Gwangmyeong, South Korea. The awards ceremony will honor the outstanding players, teams, and coaches who have left an indelible mark in 2023.

 

The 2023 LCK Awards will recognize players who have excelled in each position. Nominees from Gen.G, T1, and KT Rolster, the powerhouse teams of the 2023 season, dominate the list of candidates in each position category.

 

Gen.G, securing championships in both the 2023 LCK Spring and Summer splits, boasted exceptional performances from Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon, Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, Kim “Peyz” Soo-hwan, and Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong, earning nominations for each position's Player of the Year.

 

KT Rolster, after a remarkable 16-game winning streak in the 2023 Summer regular season, sees Kim “Kiin” Gi-in, Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong, Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram, and Son “Lehends” Si-woo nominated for positional Players of the Year, following their inclusion in the summer All-LCK First Team.

 

T1, triumphant in the 2023 League of Legends World Championship after defeating formidable teams, presents Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok as candidates for positional Players of the Year.

 

With the fierce competition among Gen.G, KT Rolster, and T1, fans eagerly await the unveiling of which team will produce the most award-winning players in each position.

 

The coveted title of 'Player of the Year' features nominees from T1, including Faker, Keria, Zeus, alongside Gen.G’s Chovy. The evaluation criteria for 'Player of the Year' and positional Players of the Year include performances in the LCK, MSI, and Worlds, like last year.

 

The LCK Awards will recognize individual achievements and honor outstanding players with awards such as Player of the Split, Regular Season MVP, and the ALL LCK First Team, as well as Rookie of the Year and Best Coach.

 

Additionally, special awards from sponsors and the league will capture fans' attention, spanning categories like Woori WON Banking Gold King Award, BBQ First Blood Award, HP OMEN Best KDA Award, LG UltraGear Most Objectives Stolen Award, OP.GG Search King Award, JW Pharmaceutical Vision Award, Logitech G Best Power Play Award, Best Monster Slayer Award, and Secretlab Assist King Award.

 

Beyond the traditional accolades, the LCK Awards will also spotlight fan favorites with the Meme of the Year Award, acknowledge those who contributed to the league's global presence with the LCK Global Marketing Award, honor the best showmanship with the Best Showmanship Award, and recognize individuals who played a significant role in establishing the LCK as the world's premier league with the 10th Anniversary Special Award.

 

The third edition of the LCK Awards will invite over 200 fans selected through social media channels and an on-site photo event at the HiKR Ground in Jongro from December 12th. The ceremony will be live-streamed on the LCK official channel from 6:15 PM, featuring Seong Seung-heon, Yoon Soo-bin, Bae Hye-ji, and Ham Ye-jin.
