On July 11, the ‘DWG KIA X KIA Tigers’ event was held before a match between KIA Tigers and KT Wiz. At the start of the match, DWG KIA’s mid laner, Heo "ShowMaker" Su, and his father visited the baseball mound. ShowMaker and his father, who introduced themselves as fans of KIA Tigers, came to throw and bat the first pitch.

Alongside the first pitch, DWG KIA and KIA Tigers held other various events. ShowMaker traded gifts with KIA Tigers player Choi Won-Jun; ShowMaker gifted a jersey and keyboard to Choi Won-Jun, while he received the KBO baseball bat in return. On this day, KIA Tigers wore the special jersey that was co-designed by DWG KIA and KIA Tigers.

On the broadcast, the casters introduced ShowMaker as an icon in esports. Previously, iconic professional players such as the current mid laner for T1, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and retired players who have played for kt Rolster, Song "Smeb" Kyung-ho & Go "Score" Dong-bin, have also been invited to throw the first pitch in a KBO match.
