On the 30th (KST), DRX faced Gen.G in the semifinals of the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Split. It was a close 3-2 match where DRX squeezed past Gen.G. There was an issue with the content delivery network (CDN) which caused a long pause between games 3 and 4, but DRX remained focused and won the last two games. In all DRX’s wins this day, mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon was voted as the POG. He was interviewed by the casters’ desk after the match.

Congratulations on the win! How do you feel?

When we won, I didn’t believe it, but when I saw my teammates, I started to feel it.

You’re heading to the finals in one year. How does it feel this time?

I always lost in the finals, so I want to do well this time.

You’re the only POG for DRX today. Are you satisfied with your performance?

Except for when I was cut off early at a dragon fight, I’m mostly satisfied with my performance.

Due to a CDN issue, you had to play in a different patch and the match was paused for a long time. What did you think?

I don’t know about the other players, but I didn’t have many thoughts. I just checked what’s different, and focused on the match.

Keria and Deft were crying after the win. Who do you think was the happiest about the win?

Pyosik hugged me as soon as we won. When I turned around, the bot duo was crying. Seeing them, I thought, ‘why are they crying as if we lost at the regional qualifiers?’ [Laughs]

Are they done crying now?

The last thing I saw was both of them crying with their heads down. They should be smiling now.

The bot duo had a hard time in the last game. What did the team think?

It seemed that they were having a hard time, so I tried to help them when they were dove. Later, we decided to give up what we should and tried to benefit from the other side according to the situation.

When Gen.G took that Ocean dragon soul, the game seemed to be turned around. How did you see the game?

When we gave up that dragon, it was because I played badly. I was angry at myself. At the next fight, we won the fight. I thought, ‘why did we win this fight?’ I was just dealing damage and we just won, so I thought my teammates did really well.

You’ll be facing ShowMaker in the finals. Are you confident?

Obviously, I’ll be playing well confidently.

To the fans?

Get ready to watch the finals.

It’s your fourth attempt in the finals.

Since it’s going to be played online, different from before, I might just be able to win this time.
