DRX cvMax on 2020 LCK Spring Round 1: "Up to now is better than I predicted... The rookies were more geniuses than I thought."

DragonX head coach Kim "cvMax" Dae-ho spoke of how he felt after finishing the first round of the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split.

After failing to reach the World Championship for two years straight in 2018 and 2019, DragonX signed cvMax as their head coach. Along with cvMax, they signed Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon alongside Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu. For the remaining positions, they called up trainees Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok to complete the roster. With this lineup, DragonX went 7-2 (+9) for Round 1, tied with T1 in second place.

“I’m glad that up to now is better than I predicted before the season started,” said cvMax, “the rookies were more geniuses than I thought; they’ve improved quickly and are contributing much to the team’s power.”

Although satisfied, cvMax wasn’t getting too laid back. “We’ll be continuing the practice we had and reduce mistakes. Aiming to develop and move forward, we’ll concentrate on improving our performances.”

cvMax didn’t forget to thank all the fans for their support as well. “More and more fans are keeping an eye on us. Thank you for all the support and cheering. We’ll continue to show you DragonX improving.”
