The Pokémon Company (CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara) announced on the 3rd that 'Pokémon Champions,' co-planned and produced by the company and GAME FREAK inc., and developed by The Pokémon Works, has surpassed 20 million cumulative downloads.

'Pokémon Champions' offers a deeper experience of the fun of Pokémon battles. This milestone was reached approximately one month after the global launch of the mobile version on June 17, following the Nintendo Switch release on April 8. By implementing the same battle mechanics as the classic 'Pokémon' series, the game allows long-time fans to relive the excitement of past battles. Analysts suggest that the strategic depth—combining elements like Pokémon types, abilities, and move selection—has successfully captured the interest of mobile users.

The game's support for cross-play between Nintendo Switch and smartphones, allowing trainers worldwide to compete regardless of their platform, has also been well-received by players.

To celebrate this achievement, all players will receive 200 Fast Coupons by August 31. Additionally, the 100 Fast Coupons previously offered to commemorate reaching 10 million global downloads in June will also be provided.

Furthermore, through a mobile launch celebration event running until September 2, all players will be gifted Raichu, along with Raichunite X and Raichunite Y required for Mega Evolution. Pre-download rewards, including Dragonite and 100 Fast Coupons, will also be distributed.

Additionally, a 'Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A' integration campaign is underway. Players can send Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, and Flabébé (Eternal Flower) obtained in 'Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A' to 'Pokémon Champions' to acquire the Mega Stones needed for each Pokémon's Mega Evolution.
