FromSoftware is opening recruitment for network test participants for its new multiplayer title for the Nintendo Switch 2, The Duskbloods, starting July 22.
FromSoftware announced the network test and the recruitment schedule on its official website. The test will take place in August, with applications accepted via the official website from July 22 to July 28.
This network test is a closed pre-launch verification phase that will allow players to experience multiplayer gameplay with up to eight participants. FromSoftware will conduct large-scale network stress tests to verify various online system technologies, focusing on server load, multiplayer functionality, and game balance.
The test will check gameplay under high-traffic conditions to stress the game servers, identify issues that arise when players connect from diverse network environments, and observe phenomena caused by high player density. Finally, the team will assess overall game balance, including the impact of player-to-player interactions.
Tester recruitment runs from 23:00 on July 22 to 22:59 on July 28. Winners will be announced on August 7, and the test will take place from August 21 to 24 during designated windows. While the specific time slots will vary, each session is scheduled to last four hours.
The Duskbloods is a new title exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, featuring PvPvE multiplayer action for up to eight players. As it is a multiplayer game for the Nintendo Switch 2 that promises a distinct playstyle, this network test is expected to play a critical role in the development process.
The Duskbloods is scheduled for release in 2026, and further details regarding the network test can be found on the official website.
