On the 5th, Go Young-jae ('Wonder08') of Zencity defeated Song Hyun-soo ('Kaiser') of BNK FEARX 2-1 in the first match of Group B at the '2026 FSL Summer' group stage, held at the Jamsil DN Colosseum. After dropping the first set due to 'Kaiser's' strong performance and narrowly winning the second, Go regained his focus in the third to secure a dominant victory.

The following is the full transcript of the post-match interview with 'Wonder08'.

Q. How do you feel after today's win?

I expected it to be a tough match, and it turned out exactly that way. I'm very happy that I was able to address my mistakes and pull off the win.

Q. Why did you anticipate a difficult match.

Rookie players are generally good at using unpredictable, variable plays. I thought that could make things difficult for me.

Q. How did you prepare for this season.

Since our team had been doing well, we initially tried to stick to our usual playstyle and mindset. However, after competing in the first half of the year, we all realized that approach wouldn't be enough to get good results. So, we put in a lot of effort to change our playstyle, provide more feedback to each other, and reset our mindset.

Q. You started with a loss in the first set. What kind of feedback did you give yourself.

I think my offense was fine in terms of what I intended to do, but I felt I made mistakes in the build-up and my passing tempo was too rushed.

Q. It felt like your performance got back on track from the latter half of the second set.

I didn't feel like my opponent was applying heavy pressure. So, while my style until then had been to move the ball quickly to harass the opponent, I shifted my approach to moving it slowly to take control of the game.

Q. Now that you've played your first match, how would you rate your current condition and performance.

Looking at today's match alone, I don't think I played to my usual standard; my condition wasn't great. However, I tend to improve my condition and performance as the tournament progresses, so I think I'll be able to show a better side of myself in the next match.

Q. The meta has changed significantly.

I believe the new traits added this time are crucial for how the game plays out in the domestic league. I plan to communicate with my teammates and make good use of them. The new 'Trickster' trait is widely considered to be an overpowered skill, as everyone likely knows. It's actually great for both deceiving opponents and increasing tempo. I think the player who utilizes that trait well will have an easier time in their matches.

Q. What are your thoughts on 'Line Breaker'.

Line Breaker' is also a very strong trait. Because of it, many players are now equipping 'Fighter' on their defenders to counter it. I think the best way to stop 'Line Breaker' is to lock onto the cursor quickly and utilize the 'Fighter' trait.

Q. Who do you think you'll face in the next match.

Personally, I hope Kim Jung-min ('JM') advances. He's been my idol for a long time. That said, I think Lee Sang-min ('Savior') will likely win. Regardless of who advances, they are both skilled players, so I won't let my guard down. I'll prepare well to ensure I advance directly to the Round of 16.
