The female protagonist of Persona 3 Portable (P3P) is set to appear in Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) under the name 'Kotone Shiomi.'
This news was announced during a special P5X broadcast in Japan. The stream revealed that a collaboration event between P5X and P3P is underway, and also featured a teaser video for the P3P female protagonist, Kotone Shiomi.

P3P is a title originally released for the PSP in 2009. It features the ability to choose the protagonist's gender, allowing players to experience the story from the perspective of either a male or female lead.
The full story for this collaboration has already been completed. The development team has established the overall atmosphere and world-building direction based on the story and is now entering the full-scale development phase. New illustrations are also currently in production.

A new 3D model is being created to fit the P5X style. While the video shown during the broadcast used footage from the original P3P, the character will not be directly ported; instead, she will be implemented as a 3D model adjusted to the P5X body proportions. The development team noted that since this is the first time Kotone Shiomi is being rendered as a P5X-style character model, they are putting significant effort into the design.
In addition to the female protagonist, some other characters from P3P are expected to appear in the collaboration event. The developers mentioned, "We hope to include not just the female protagonist, but also a few other characters related to P3P."
Further details regarding the P5X and P3P collaboration event, including the schedule, will be announced at a later date.
