The Korean version of 'Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-', a remake of TYPE-MOON's iconic title 'Tsukihime', will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on August 13. Pre-orders for the Korean physical package version will begin on the 26th, and pre-orders for a limited edition, which will be produced exclusively on a made-to-order basis, will also be accepted.
'Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-' is a reimagining of the original 'Tsukihime' released in 2000, with direct involvement from TYPE-MOON staff including Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi. The game features updated illustrations and voice acting, a restructured scenario and presentation, and includes the 'Moon's Front Side' story, which consists of two parts: Arcueid's scenario, 'Tsukihime', and Ciel's scenario, 'The Rainbow of Night'. Aniplex is handling the distribution.
The Korean release will be available for pre-order in both standard and limited physical editions. The limited edition includes the standard game package, a special box featuring illustrations by Takashi Takeuchi, and the setting material book 'Tsukihime Material #1 -material of blue glass moon-' (110 pages including cover). The limited edition will be produced based on the number of pre-orders received rather than on a first-come, first-served basis. The pre-order period runs until July 5.
Pre-ordering either the standard or limited physical edition will include a character magnet set as a bonus. The PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions will come with different magnet sets, and these bonuses are available in limited quantities and may run out early.
The game begins as Shiki Tohno, who suffered a severe injury in a childhood accident, returns to his family home following his father's death. He is greeted by his younger sister Akiha, who has taken over their father's position, and two maids. As Shiki adjusts to his new life in the massive mansion, he encounters non-human entities. The Arcueid scenario follows his involvement in incidents surrounding vampires, while the Ciel scenario focuses on separate events centered on his encounter with his senior, Ciel.
The protagonist, Shiki Tohno, is voiced by Ryosuke Kanemoto, and the main heroine, Arcueid Brunestud, is played by Ikumi Hasegawa. Kaede Hondo voices Ciel, and Shino Shimoji plays Akiha Tohno. The twin maids serving the Tohno family, Hisui and Kohaku, are voiced by Kana Ichinose and Yuuki Kuwahara, respectively.
The music was composed by Keita Haga and Hideyuki Fukasawa, and the theme song, 'Seimeisen' by ReoNa, is released through SACRA MUSIC. The opening animation was produced by ufotable. The game features Japanese audio with subtitles in Korean, Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
