The launch ceremony for the '2026 IndieCraft Organizing Committee' was held on May 19 at the Hanbit Irum Conference Room on the 7th floor of the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency. Hosted by Seongnam City and co-organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency (President Lee Joo-yeon) and the Korea Mobile Game Association (Chairman Hwang Sung-ik), the event saw the appointment of 11 experts from the gaming and related industries to the organizing committee.

During the appointment ceremony, Won Se-yeon, CEO of Highbrow, accepted the certificate of appointment on behalf of the new committee members. The appointed members will provide operational advice, facilitate inter-agency cooperation, and support event activities for IndieCraft.

A business briefing held alongside the launch ceremony unveiled this year's support programs. An export consultation session will be held to connect selected developers with domestic and international investors and publishers for 1:1 business meetings. The prize money for the top-ranked developer (TOP 1) has been doubled from last year to ₩40 million, which can be used freely for development, marketing, operations, or other needs.

The event will also feature user Focus Group Tests (FGT) through offline exhibitions linked with GXG, allowing developers to improve their game quality based on direct user feedback.

Lee Deok-hee, Director of the Strategic Industry Division at the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, stated, "We will work closely with the organizing committee to provide full support to indie game developers." Hwang Sung-ik, Chairman of the Korea Mobile Game Association and co-chair of the organizing committee, added, "We will continue to support the growth of small and medium-sized indie developers in South Korea."

IndieCraft plans to finalize the selection of the top 50 companies in the domestic category and the top 20 in the challenger category by the end of May, followed by a series of programs including networking days and commercialization support linked with sponsors.
