Webzen has filed a trademark for a new game.

On July 29, Webzen filed trademark applications for '뮤 테오스' and 'MU Theos' via KIPRIS. As the name suggests, it is presumed to be a new entry in Webzen's flagship 'MU' series. The trademark application is currently pending review.

According to INVEN's reporting, Webzen has only confirmed that 'MU Theos' is a new title currently in development using the 'MU' IP. No further details regarding the platform, genre, or release date have been disclosed.

Meanwhile, the latest project based on Webzen's 'MU' IP that has been officially announced is 'Project G,' which was unveiled at last year's G-STAR. At the time, Webzen described 'Project G' as a hack-and-slash action MMORPG with a deep narrative that fully inherits the unique worldview of the 'MU' IP, noting that it is being developed by Webzen Redstar.

As only the trademark for 'MU Theos' has been filed and information about the new title remains extremely limited, it is currently unclear whether 'MU Theos' is the same project as 'Project G'.
