The first blood went to 'Canyon' Kim Geon-bu's Lee Sin, who secured a clean top-lane gank on 'Impact' Jung Eon-yeong's Shen. Sentinel's counterattack was sharp; leveraging the mobility of 'Huhi' Choi Jae-hyun's Bard, they caught 'Duro' Ju Min-gyu's Camille in a mid-lane skirmish and, with help from Shen, took down 'Ruler' Park Jae-hyuk's Ziggs. To make matters worse for Gen.G, a slightly overextended dive on Shen resulted in two deaths, though they were fortunate to at least secure a tower execution for Camille.

However, Gen.G's strength lay in their fundamentals. They maintained a lead in global gold by consistently out-farming their opponents and utilized the power of their jungle—where the growth gap was most significant—to take down 'Hambak' Ham Yu-jin's Skarner. Despite some mistakes, such as Ziggs getting caught during a Dragon timing and Camille overextending, Gen.G maintained a 3k-gold lead. Sentinel managed to catch a breather by using Bard to pick off 'Chovy' Jung Ji-hun's Orianna.

Around the 21-minute mark, after Gen.G took down Skarner, Sentinel immediately grouped at the bottom lane to catch 'Kiin' Kim Gi-in's Ambessa. However, while Sentinel's attention was focused bottom, Gen.G secured Baron. After a tense standoff, they also claimed their third Dragon without losing any members. Gen.G's snowball began to accelerate; they picked off key enemy champions in succession, widening the gold gap to nearly 8k. Finally, after scoring an ace in the soul teamfight, Gen.G marched forward to destroy the Nexus.
