NEOWIZ (Co-CEOs Kim Seung-chul and Bae Tae-geun) announced on the 9th that it has appointed Chris Chung as the head of its Global Business Group to strengthen its competitive edge in the global gaming market.

Chris Jung is a gaming industry leader who has spearheaded the entire lifecycle of projects, from founding development studios to managing global franchises, in domestic, North American, and European markets. As Chief Product Officer (CPO) at the European video game company Wargaming, he oversaw global operations for world-renowned franchises such as 'World of Tanks' and 'World of Warships.' He later founded Motiga and gained industry recognition for developing the new IP 'Gigantic.' With his extensive experience and deep understanding of global markets, he has also led business operations across Asia and North America, serving as a division director at NC headquarters and as head of its U.S. subsidiary.

NEOWIZ plans to solidify its position as a global publisher by leveraging Chung's diverse global business experience and leadership. The company aims to grow existing IPs, such as 'Lies of P,' into long-term fan favorites while consistently identifying new IPs to build a sustainable global portfolio.

This appointment coincides with an organizational restructuring at NEOWIZ. The company has reorganized into three groups: New Game Development, Global Business, and Live Game Business. Cho Min-gu, formerly director of the Olympus Division, will lead the Live Game Business Group. This group will focus on enhancing data-driven operations and increasing IP competitiveness through innovative approaches, building on the stable live service of titles such as 'Pmang' (online card and board games) and popular IPs like 'Brown Dust 2' and 'Cats & Soup.

A NEOWIZ representative stated, "With the addition of Chris Chung, we have secured a publishing organization and capabilities with a broad understanding of the entire process, from early development to global franchise expansion. We will actively support new games to ensure their success in the global market and further expand business opportunities, including the discovery of and investment in new IPs."

Meanwhile, NEOWIZ announced in June that Park Sung-jun, head of the New Game Development Group, has been nominated as the new CEO. Following his inauguration in August, Park will continue to serve as head of the New Game Development Group.
