On Wednesday, June 17, I visited 'G:ET PLAY,' a new game IP-based merchandise store opening on the 4th floor of Yongsan Electronic Land. Although the official opening is Thursday the 18th, the media was invited a day early to get a sneak peek at the new space.

G:ET PLAY is a specialty store for game IP-based merchandise newly launched by Electronic Land. To broaden its customer reach, Electronic Land designed this space to incorporate the latest trends in gaming and anime merchandise. The store is divided into three main sections: a permanent retail area for anime and game-related goods, and an inner concept space decked out with high-end gaming gear.

Finally, there is the main pop-up store space. Beyond simple merchandise sales, G:ET PLAY plans to grow into a subculture platform by regularly hosting various IP pop-up events in collaboration with NULLSET, a company specializing in the production and distribution of merchandise. The first project to be unveiled is the 'Wuthering Waves' 'Night Tales' themed pop-up store. A variety of items were available, including pop-up exclusive merchandise as well as regularly stocked goods such as badges, acrylic stands, photo card sets, and keyrings.

From limited-edition Wuthering Waves 'Night Tales' merch to other subculture games and anime, I captured the scene at Electronic Land's G:ET PLAY, which is packed with highly coveted items.
