Smilegate HEEMANGSTUDIO, an organization dedicated to spreading hope to the next generation, announced on the 10th that it is recruiting the 7th cohort of 'Hope Creators,' youth creative mentors who will work within the children and youth creative community, 'Palette.

Palette is a creative community that helps the next generation envision a happy future through creative activities, regardless of their upbringing or economic background. Hope Creators are youth mentors who explore interests and carry out creative projects with children and adolescents at local community child centers.

This recruitment is aimed at young people who want to grow into creative leaders by sharing the joy of self-expression through creative activities with children. Preference is given to those with a sense of responsibility for long-term mentoring, interest in or experience with generative AI-based creative activities, and experience in medium-to-long-term or team-based creative projects. A total of 33 people will be selected.

The 7th cohort of Hope Creators will visit local community child centers across the country—including those in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangneung, Jeonju, Daegu, and Busan—once a week from this September to next February. Over a 20-week period, they will conduct two-hour sessions each week, executing various creative projects such as games, videos, and merchandise based on the children's interests.

Hope Creators will receive a stipend and can earn credit for volunteer hours. A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the program. Participants will also have access to spaces for autonomous creative activities and mentoring opportunities from Smilegate employees with professional expertise. After completion, they can continue to network through an alumni program and receive support for team projects.

Applications are open until Monday, the 29th of this month. Interested candidates can fill out and submit an application on the HEEMANGSTUDIO platform.

Kim Ji-o, a student in the Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Ewha Womans University and a graduate of the 6th Hope Creator cohort, said, I initially went to help the children, but I ended up gaining even greater inspiration and joy from creating things together. She added, It is a meaningful challenge for anyone who wants to experience the joy of drawing out children's pure passion and growing alongside them.

Park Jae-hee, team leader at Smilegate HEEMANGSTUDIO, stated, The Hope Creator program is an opportunity to grow into a creative leader equipped with leadership and problem-solving skills through creative mentoring experiences in the local community. She added, We look forward to the interest and applications of young people who have a passion for the next generation and an interest in AI-based creative activities.

Meanwhile, Smilegate HEEMANGSTUDIO is spreading a culture of joyful giving by delivering hope to the next generation through a gamification-based platform in collaboration with various 'Hope Partners,' including game companies and IP holders.
