In the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 2 match held at LoL PARK in Jonggak on the 29th, Dplus KIA defeated DRX 2-1. Having already secured a spot in the Road to MSI, Dplus KIA fielded their second-team jungler, 'Shabel' Kim Dan-woo, as the outcome of the match would not affect their standing.

Reflecting on his victory in his LCK debut, 'Sabel' said, "I really wanted to win my first LCK match, so I'm relieved we took it 2-1." He introduced himself, adding, "I'm Kim 'Sabel' Dan-woo, currently playing for the second team. Unlike 'Lucid,' who has an aggressive playstyle, I prefer to play intelligently."
'Sabel,' who played Wukong, Xin Zhao, and Jarvan IV today, commented, "I felt like I didn't have much to do in the first two sets. I'm disappointed in my performance in the third set, as I know I could have done better; my skill usage in teamfights was lacking. I did feel some pressure replacing 'Lucid,' but 'Lucid' and 'Smash' gave me advice and helped me out."
When asked about being evaluated as a well-rounded prospect, 'Sabel' expressed confidence: "The jungle position definitely relies on experience and tenure. However, among junglers with similar experience, I am certain that my information gathering and game knowledge are superior, and I am also very confident in my mechanics."
Regarding his growth within the DK organization, he explained, "I joined the team when I was 16. At first, it felt more like I was just hanging out rather than feeling an urgent need to improve. But once I joined the third team, I started working in earnest, and now I'm a starter for the second team."
He concluded, "I imagine many fans were surprised or worried that I was suddenly appearing in the LCK. I completely understand that. If I get another opportunity, I will grow and return as a player that fans can watch with peace of mind, regardless of whether 'Lucid' or 'Sabel' is in the lineup."
