In the match between Nongshim RedForce and Hanwha Life Esports during the second round of the 2026 LCK regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 23rd, Hanwha Life secured a 2-1 victory. After dropping the first set, the team brought in starting support 'Delight' Yoo Hwan-joong as a relief player, going on to win the next two sets and claim their 14th victory of the season.
The first set was a fierce battle from the start. Hanwha Life Esports and Nongshim RedForce traded kills back and forth, maintaining a tense deadlock. Nongshim RedForce eventually leveraged their bottom-lane priority to secure two early dragons. During the fight for the third dragon, 'Diable' Nam Dae-geun's Lucian survived until the very end, cleaning up kills to lead his team to a massive victory. By then, Lucian had reached a 7/3/3 scoreline, with a 2000 gold lead over the opposing ADC.
With the momentum in their favor, Nongshim RedForce continued their winning streak. Although they had their dragon soul stolen, they managed to take down 'Kanavi' Seo Jin-hyeok's Xin Zhao and transitioned smoothly to Baron. After securing Baron and winning another major teamfight, Nongshim RedForce destroyed the bottom inhibitor and claimed the Mountain Soul. They regrouped, pushed into the mid lane, and finished the first set with an ace.
In the second set, Hanwha Life Esports subbed in 'Delight' and successfully struck back to level the series. After gaining an early lead through a series of successful skirmishes in the jungle, Hanwha Life Esports kept up the pressure with a Vi-Pyke composition. While Nongshim RedForce fought back aggressively, they struggled to break through 'Zeus' Choi Woo-je's Sion or withstand the incoming damage. Hanwha Life Esports widened the gold gap to over 10k and took the second set.
Hanwha Life Esports started the third set strong, successfully turning around a bottom-lane dive from Nongshim RedForce to secure a 2-for-1 trade. Using their bottom-lane priority, they invaded the enemy jungle to pick up additional advantages. Nongshim RedForce managed to catch 'Gumayusi' Lee Min-hyung's Corki using 'Scout' Lee Ye-chan's Twisted Fate teleport, but 'Kanavi's' Lee Sin quickly cleaned up the play. Lee Sin then ganked the bottom lane again, securing a double kill.
Riding the momentum, Hanwha Life Esports consistently outpaced their opponents to accumulate leads. Nongshim RedForce tried to keep up by playing proactively, just as they had in previous sets, and even managed to catch Hanwha Life off guard in the mid lane to pick up several kills. However, the initiative remained firmly with Hanwha Life Esports. After winning a decisive teamfight and securing the Baron buff, Hanwha Life Esports destroyed the mid inhibitor and repelled Nongshim RedForce's final push to seal the victory.
