Hanjin Brion extended their winning streak to two games after defeating KT Rolster 2-0 in the second round of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season at LoL Park in Jongno on the 3rd. While a victory was unexpected against the league-leading KT Rolster, Hanjin Brion pulled off an upset with a dominant performance that completely defied expectations.

The following is the full interview with Head Coach Kim Sang-soo and 'Casting' Shin Min-je.

Q. How do you feel about today's win?

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = I’m thrilled to have beaten a strong team like KT 2-0. It’s a great day, not just because of the win, but because we showed significant improvement in our gameplay.

'Casting': KT is clearly a team that excels in many areas, so I came into this match with the mindset of learning from them. The decision to play freely translated well into the results, which makes the victory even sweeter.

Q. How did you prepare for the match against KT, and what do you think led to the victory.

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = Even though they are a strong team, we focused on executing our own plan at our own tempo rather than getting intimidated by their reputation. We concentrated on what we do best, and it paid off.

Q. Did the experience of playing on a big stage, like the home-ground match, give you confidence against a strong team like today's.

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = We’ve been on the verge of unlocking our potential, and I believe the experience of playing on a big stage and putting everything we’ve practiced into action gave us a huge boost in inspiration and confidence.

'Casting': As a pro gamer, I realized that day just how much of a motivator a big stage can be. It was so much fun playing amidst the cheers and shouts of so many fans. After the match, the team and I talked about how we want to play in arenas like that again, and to do that, we need to climb higher. It was a massive source of motivation.

Q. In the first set, you started at a disadvantage with a composition that needed to take the lead early. How did you decide to handle that?

'Casting': By picking Lee Sin and Annie, we had the task of winning objective fights. However, the opposing Renekton roamed to mid lane and neutralized Annie, which was quite critical. But 'Gideon' Kim Min-seong and I targeted the Renekton who had used his turn in mid, which allowed us to widen the gold gap. We used that lead to regain momentum after the 15-minute mark.

Q. What did you think of 'Teddy' Park Jin-seong’s performance on Ezreal, which earned him the Player of the Match (POM)?

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = Even though Ezreal’s recent win rate hasn't been great, 'Teddy's' skill accuracy and use of his ultimate were exceptional. He put on a great performance, and I’m always grateful to have such a powerful weapon on the team.

Q. The performance of rookie 'Roamer' Jo Woo-jin, who has been starting consistently, was also impressive.

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = I’m very proud of him. Even after facing a tough situation where he died and lost his summoner spells due to the opponent's Renekton, his mentality didn't waver. Even if his Annie was being pressured, his ability to find ways to contribute for the team and understand the composition is remarkable. He is a player with an incredibly strong mentality.

Q. Is there any specific moment from today’s game you’d like to praise?

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = There’s so much to praise, but the second set stands out. When the game wasn't going as planned, 'Casting' Shin Min-je exerted massive influence while having already won his lane. He used his strength to push Ahri out of the mid lane and made great plays to bait out Wukong’s ultimate in the side lanes.

Q. The team atmosphere seems great after your first winning streak of the season. Can we say you’ve finally figured out how to win?

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = The atmosphere is great, but to be objective, we still have some inconsistency. Our goal is to manage those ups and downs until the end of the season and consistently showcase our strengths. I will lead the team well so we don't get intoxicated by immediate victories and continue to improve.

Q. Next week, you have matches against BNK FearX and Nongshim RedForce, who are competing in the mid-to-lower tier.

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = We are preparing with the intention to win, of course. It’s great to break the losing streak and start winning, but I’m even happier that our improvement is visible. If we keep this momentum going, I don't think there’s any team we can’t beat.

Q. Any final words for the fans.

Head Coach Kim Sang-soo = It is a great thing to receive consistent love, whether times are tough or good. We receive so much energy from the continuous support our fans send us. I am very grateful that we can repay them, even if just a little. We will prepare thoroughly for the next match and show them another victory.
