KT Rolster fell 0-2 to HanJin Brion in their 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 2 match held at the LoL Park in Jongno on the 3rd. It appeared as though their momentum had plummeted following their previous loss to Hanwha Life Esports, as they suffered a crushing defeat against a HanJin Brion side they were expected to beat.
After the match, head coach Go Dong-bin visited the press room and summarized the day's performance: "It's very disappointing to lose 0-2. Our performance was poor, and our overall preparation seemed insufficient. The opponent controlled the map better than us, regardless of whether they were in a favorable or unfavorable position. That was the deciding factor in our defeat."
Joining him, 'Bdd' Gwak Bo-seong offered a candid assessment of their play: "It's even more disappointing to lose while playing poorly. Our communication was off, and we played too defensively even when we had the advantage. There wasn't a single thing we did well. We played poorly across the board."
KT Rolster lost their previous match—the final game of the first round—to Hanwha Life Esports, marking their first defeat of the LCK regular season. When asked if that loss had affected their performance, Coach Go replied, "It would be hard to say it didn't, given how poorly we played today. It seems there was a lingering effect. We will fix these issues as quickly as possible and recover our form."
'Bdd' added, "The loss to Hanwha Life Esports definitely had an impact. However, if that alone is enough to cause a performance like this, then I don't think we should even be competing. Personally, my performance today was very poor, but I believe this kind of process is necessary. We need to prepare better for the future."
When asked what should be the top priority for regaining their form, Coach Go answered, "Based on today's match, the top priority is to communicate more quickly when making decisions."
Finally, Coach Go expressed his resolve: "We've lost two in a row, but we are still in the regular season. Our urgent task is to elevate our own level of play. It's very disappointing that today's loss might have looked lethargic. We will regroup during the remaining time and work to improve our performance."
