Kiwoom DRX secured a clean 2-0 victory over Nongshim RedForce, who recently added 'Diable' to their roster. With 'Willer' carrying the first game and 'Ucal' the second, the team successfully ended their five-game losing streak. This win is particularly valuable as it comes just before their upcoming matches in Hanoi, Vietnam, on May 8 and 10.

In the first game, KRX's 'Willer' (Jarvan IV) caught 'Scout's' Anivia with a mid-lane gank, while Nongshim responded by taking down the KRX bottom duo in a dive. KRX targeted the mid lane again to shut down Anivia's growth. KRX then won a dragon fight and secured the objective, maintaining their momentum to reach three dragon stacks by the 17-minute mark and establishing a clear lead.
KRX accelerated their pace from there. Having seized control, they pressured Nongshim heavily, spearheaded by 'Willer's' Jarvan IV. Nongshim’s team composition lacked sufficient crowd control and a reliable tank, making it difficult to deal with the incoming Jarvan. KRX forced continuous skirmishes and quickly took the upper hand. After securing the Dragon Soul and Baron, KRX destroyed Nongshim's Nexus in 28 minutes to take the first game.
In the second game, both teams traded two kills early on, keeping the match tight. Nongshim's 'Sponge' (Trundle) attempted a sneaky dragon take, but it was stolen by 'Willer's' Xin Zhao, who also secured a kill on Trundle. Nongshim did not back down, however; they traded kills in a prolonged bottom-lane skirmish and pushed the opponents back to secure a dragon of their own.
Simultaneous skirmishes broke out across the top, mid, and bottom lanes, with KRX coming out ahead and securing the Rift Herald. KRX then caught Trundle and Lucian in the mid lane before heading to Baron. Nongshim struggled to defend with only Sion, Milio, and Hwei, allowing KRX to secure the Baron buff. However, in the subsequent dragon team fight, Nongshim conceded the dragon but managed to win a decisive team fight for the first time in a while.
As the game progressed into the late stages, Nongshim's team composition grew stronger, but KRX successfully targeted Lucian in a mid-lane team fight to secure the Dragon Soul. When the teams met in the mid lane again, Nongshim used superior positioning to pick off Renekton and started the Baron. KRX contested the objective, turned the fight around, secured multiple kills, and took the Baron for themselves. KRX then punished an overextension by Lucian to defeat Nongshim, securing a valuable win ahead of their matches in Vietnam.
