Arc System Works America has announced the release of a free downloadable content pack for GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- Nintendo Switch Edition, adding a new set of alternate character colors for players on Nintendo’s platform.
The DLC, titled the “Additional Character Color Pack,” is available starting today in North America, Latin America, Japan, and South Korea. Arc System Works America said additional regions will receive the update at a later date, with timing to be confirmed through the game’s official website and social media channels.
The pack unlocks a total of 43 new color options. This includes Color 16 for 31 playable characters currently available in the Nintendo Switch edition, with the exception of Lucy. In addition, the DLC adds Colors 7 through 12 for the characters Venom and Unika, expanding customization options for those fighters.
Players should note that Lucy’s Color 16 is not included in this release and instead remains part of the separate “GGST Additional Character Lucy” DLC.
Free DLC expands customization options
Arc System Works America said the color pack is intended to broaden cosmetic variety for players without additional cost. The company did not announce whether similar free updates are planned for future characters or versions of the game.
To access the content, players must own the base version of GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- Nintendo Switch Edition, which is sold separately. The DLC also requires the latest game update to be installed before the new color options will appear in-game.
Originally released on other platforms before arriving on Nintendo Switch, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- is the latest entry in the long-running fighting game series developed by Arc System Works. The game is known for its anime-inspired visual style, fast-paced combat, and online competitive play.
Arc System Works America serves as the North American publishing arm of Arc System Works, overseeing releases and community engagement for franchises such as Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. The company said further details regarding the rollout of the free color pack in remaining regions will be shared once plans are finalized.
