Riot Games has announced its unified 2026 roadmap for Teamfight Tactics (TFT), outlining a year that will include multiple new content sets, a seventh anniversary celebration, technical upgrades, and major in-person competitive events.
According to Riot Games, TFT will receive three regular sets throughout 2026, continuing the game’s established cadence of seasonal updates. The year will begin in January with “Revival: Festival of Beasts,” a refreshed take on a previous fan-favorite set. That release will be followed by a space-themed set, then a nature-and-magic-themed set, before closing out the cycle with a music-themed set later in the year.
In addition to gameplay content, Riot confirmed plans to celebrate the game’s seventh anniversary with a dedicated in-game event. Scheduled for June, “Pengu’s Party” will commemorate TFT’s launch milestone, though specific details about event mechanics and rewards have not yet been disclosed.
Riot also indicated that technical improvements are planned as part of the 2026 roadmap. While the company did not provide specifics, it said the upgrades are intended to improve the overall gameplay experience and that additional information will be shared closer to their release.
2026 Roadmap

On the competitive side, Riot revealed that the final official TFT Open tournament of 2026 will be held in Las Vegas, marking the event’s return to the United States after three years. The company said the Las Vegas event will feature elite-level competition while also offering on-site activities aimed at fans and spectators attending in person.
Recent competitive developments were also highlighted following the conclusion of the TFT Paris Open, which wrapped up on Dec. 14 local time. The tournament expanded its main event field to 768 players, representing a 1.5x increase from previous iterations. Among South Korean competitors, Kim “Panda” Se-jin of ROC Esports finished ninth overall.
In the finals, Chinese player “Huanmie” secured the championship after a closely contested series against “Toddy” from the Americas region, claiming the title in front of an international audience.
Riot Games said more information about TFT’s 2026 roadmap, including updates on technical features and events, will be shared through the game’s official website and social media channels in the coming months.
