Riot Games is bringing its global Teamfight Tactics competitive circuit to Europe this week with the debut of the TFT Paris Open, the largest Open-format event in the game’s history.

The tournament runs from Friday through Sunday in Paris and marks the final major TFT esports event of the year. Teamfight Tactics is Riot’s auto-battler strategy title set within the League of Legends universe.

The Paris Open features a total prize pool of approximately $310,000 and 768 competitors in the main event, reflecting Riot’s continued push to expand open-access competition across regions. Previous Open tournaments were held in North America and Asia, including last year’s Macau Open.

From Korea, the field includes Seo “Ssang Yeop” Seong-won and Kim “Panda” Se-jin of ROC Esports, along with Cho “dunizuni” Jun-hee and Kang “Binteum” Seong-jun of T1, all of whom have posted strong results on the international TFT circuit. All four have appeared in the Strategist’s Crown, TFT’s premier championship event that brings together top players from each set.

The player field also includes several high-profile figures from outside traditional esports competition. Model Jung Hyuk, actress Yeonwoo, and influencer Palchaseon are competing, with Palchaseon entering the event as the defending Open champion. All three are members of Riot’s Runeterra Expedition program, which highlights community creators and personalities.

Beyond the main competition, the Paris Open offers a variety of on-site activities aimed at fans and attendees. These include 4v4 matches, Double Up competitions, meet-and-greet sessions with the development team, artist showcases, merchandise booths, and hands-on demos for upcoming Riot titles such as 2XKO and Riftbound.

Ahead of the tournament’s opening day, Riot Games also announced the location of next year’s Open event. The TFT Vegas Open 2026 will take place in Las Vegas, returning to the site of the inaugural Open tournament for the first time in three years.

Michael Sherman, Riot Games’ global head of TFT and 2XKO esports, said bringing the Open back to Las Vegas is a significant milestone for the competitive community and signaled plans to further expand the scale of future events.
