The Teamfight Tactics Open will return to Las Vegas in 2026, bringing the game’s largest competitive and community event back to the city that hosted its inaugural edition in 2023.

The announcement marks the fourth edition of the TFT Open, following previous stops in Macao and Paris. Las Vegas first hosted the event at the MGM Grand Conference Center, where 512 competitors participated across three days in the debut tournament. Since then, the Open has grown into the marquee event on the global Teamfight Tactics calendar.

The 2026 TFT Open is scheduled to take place at the end of the year and will serve as the culmination of the competitive TFT season. Like prior editions, it will feature an open-bracket format, allowing any eligible player from the community to compete directly in the Main Event for the TFT Tactician’s Belt and a six-figure prize pool.

Michael Sherman, Global Head of Esports for Teamfight Tactics and 2XKO, announced the return to Las Vegas during a pre-event media mixer at the TFT Paris Open. He described the decision as a return to the roots of the event and highlighted the city’s popularity among North American players.

A Global Community Event Beyond Competition

While the Open is best known for its large-scale tournament, organizers have emphasized that the event is designed as a broader celebration of the TFT community. In addition to competitive play, the Open traditionally includes community-focused activities such as cosplay showcases, co-streamer watch parties, and player meet-and-greet sessions.

The scale of the event has continued to expand. The 2025 Paris Open is set to feature more than 750 competitors in its open-bracket format, reflecting steady growth in participation and international interest since the event’s launch.

Specific details for the 2026 Las Vegas Open—including venue, exact dates, event size, prize pool, and final format—will be announced at a later time. Riot Games stated that more information will be shared next year.

Teamfight Tactics, first released in 2019, is an eight-player free-for-all strategy game set in the League of Legends universe. Players assemble teams of champions and items on a grid-based board, competing in automated battles until one player remains. Riot Games develops and publishes TFT alongside other titles including League of Legends, VALORANT, and Wild Rift.
