Monster Mop Up, a cooperative cleaning simulation from Yogscast Games and Terahard Studios, launched Thursday worldwide on Steam.
The game tasks players with containing mischievous interdimensional creatures called Ragamuffins, whose arrival in the human world leaves behind a messy trail. Using mops, gloves and high-tech traps, players work to restore order in environments ranging from small homes to luxury hotels.
Both solo play and online cooperative modes for up to six players are available. The game is launching with a two-week 35% discount, with an additional 10% off when bundled with the cooking sim PlateUp!
GO FOR A CLEAN SWEEP AND SAVE THE RAGAMUFFINS - MONSTER MOP UP LAUNCHES TODAY
Players assume the role of Custodians for the Ministry of Monster Concealment, charged with clearing every trace of the Ragamuffins while safely capturing them. The creatures, described as “cute yet chaotic,” can trigger what developers call explosive chaos when startled, adding urgency to each mission.
Missions are untimed, allowing players to plan strategies, but the unpredictable nature of the Ragamuffins may force on-the-fly adjustments. Successful cleanups earn in-game currency to spend on upgrades, including advanced vacuum cleaners, extended mops and calming items that temporarily pacify the creatures.
According to Yogscast Games, the title blends elements from multiple genres, aiming to provide a mix of relaxing gameplay and hectic challenges. The publisher described the work by Terahard Studios as a polished simulation designed to stand out among similar titles. Monster Mop Up is available exclusively on Steam. More information, including the launch trailer, can be found on the game’s official website and social channels.
