TEKKEN – The Board Game Raises Over $500,000

The crowdfunding campaign for TEKKEN – The Board Game is entering its final days, with developer Go On Board confirming that the tabletop adaptation of Bandai Namco’s long-running fighting franchise has surpassed 1,000% of its initial funding goal. The campaign, hosted on Gamefound, closes Aug. 19 and offers a range of expansions, exclusive characters, and content that will not be sold at retail.

The project has drawn attention from both board game enthusiasts and TEKKEN fans, in part due to its inclusion of 39 playable fighters, eight expansions, and several Gamefound-only miniatures. Among the exclusives are Angel Jin, Devil Jin, Devil Kazuya, Mokujin, and True Ogre—characters whose designs draw inspiration from TEKKEN 3. Each fighter is represented by a detailed 50 mm miniature, accompanied by a stage with unique gameplay elements.

Backers can opt for the “All-In” pledge at €299, a package that includes every expansion, exclusive content, and the TEKKEN Ball mini-game, a nod to the series’ arcade history. Go On Board says the set represents an 18.75% discount compared to its estimated €368 retail value, though some included content will never be available outside the campaign.

The All-In bundle features the core box, The King of Iron Fist Tournament expansion for up to eight players, seven additional expansions with 26 characters, The Legendary Expansion with Mokujin and True Ogre, and The Exclusive Box with Devil Jin, Azazel, and three bonus stages.

Production is planned to begin within months of the campaign’s close, with Go On Board stating that backers will receive their copies weeks before retail release. Non-backers may have to wait years for the full roster, and Gamefound-exclusive content will remain unavailable in stores.
