Gen.G secured a 2–0 victory against Nongshim RedForce in the 4th round of the 2025 LCK at LoL Park in Jonggak, Seoul, on the 14th. The dominant win lasted less than an hour in total across both games. Gen.G’s head coach Kim "KIM" Jeong-soo expressed his joy, saying, “I’m happy we won cleanly,” while stressing that the important thing is the playoffs (PO). INVEN spoke with Coach Kim and Duro after the match.
Thoughts on the victory?
Coach Kim: I’m happy we won cleanly. Our play was very clean.
Duro: It feels good to win 2–0 cleanly. In both games, we responded well to the opponent’s set plays.
Thoughts on the draft for Game 2?
Coach Kim: Whether it was Pantheon or Azir didn’t really matter much.
You’re getting closer to 1st place in the Legends Group.
Coach Kim: What’s important is the playoffs, so it doesn’t mean much. Practicing for best-of series from the end of August is what’s important.
It seems like even within the Legends Group, the gap between the top three teams and the rest has become quite large. What do you think about that?
Coach Kim: Personally, I think KT or Nongshim could still lose if they let their guard down.
Any final words?
Coach Kim: We face Hanwha Life next. We’ll prepare well and make sure to win so we can give our fans the gift of victory.
Duro: We’re up against the strong team Hanwha Life, but we’ll work hard to make sure we win.
