One of the top teams in the North American Heroes of the Storm scene is going to look much different when 2019 rolls around.

According to sources, Tempo Storm is expected to part ways with Vi "ViN" Nguyen and Mike "Glaurung" Fisk as the team looks to reload for the upcoming season.

Glaurung was picked up by Tempo Storm after parting ways with Roll20 Esports in the 2017 offseason and was immediately inserted into the off-lane, a role he found success in.

ViN was thrust into a role on the team when former player, Harrison "psalm" Chang, unexpectedly stepped away after the Mid-Season Brawl event to pursue a career in the battle royale titan, Fortnite.

Tempo Storm performed well enough in 2018 to qualify for every North American-eligible LAN event during the year. During the first Western Clash event in Poland, Tempo Storm performed better than most expected from a North American team, finishing third and taking home $15,000. Their other notably strong showing came at the Mid-Season Brawl event where, despite knowing that psalm was leaving, the team finished fourth and took home $20,000.

Tempo Storm did not finish lower than second place in North America during either of the League Play phases in the Heroes Global Championship (HGC) circuit.

The remaining roster, once the moves become final, will include Fan "Fan" Yang, Ben "cattlepillar" Bunk and Jun "Jun" Jang.
