The official release date for 'Nivalis Nights,' a new cyberpunk life simulator developed by ION LANDS and published by 505 Games, has been set for Wednesday, September 30 (KST).

'Nivalis Nights' was originally unveiled in 2021 under the title 'Nivalis,' but has been officially renamed alongside the announcement of its release date. Developer ION LANDS previously created 'Cloudpunk,' and this new title shares the same universe.

The game is set in 'Nivalis,' a futuristic city that stretches from the sea up into the clouds. Players enjoy a life simulation experience where they carve out their own path in the city. Starting with a small noodle stall or a humble bar, players can gradually expand their business into city-renowned restaurants or nightclubs. Ingredients can be purchased at the market or sourced through personal farming and fishing, and as businesses grow, players will face crackdowns from corporate security organizations that exert pressure on the city.

True to the life simulator genre, players can freely decorate and customize their living spaces, establishing a home of their choosing within the neon-drenched future city. The game also includes elements of meeting unique residents throughout the city, hearing their stories, and building various relationships, including friendships and romances. Movement is supported both on foot and via boat for water travel.

Visually, the game continues the voxel art style of its predecessor, Cloudpunk. The development team stated that while the entire city is composed of voxels, they did not use a traditional voxel engine, allowing for a higher polygon count than typical voxel graphics to enhance the city's density and vibrancy. Unlike Cloudpunk, however, the characters are designed with smooth, non-voxel models.

Marko Dieckmann, Creative Director at ION LANDS, expressed his gratitude to the gamers who have waited five years, noting in a press release that the team overcame unprecedented challenges as an independent studio to complete development. He added that he looks forward to the day players can experience the charm of the city for themselves. Neil Ralley, President of 505 Games, also shared his thoughts on watching the project come to fruition and expressed his excitement for the upcoming launch.

'Nivalis Nights' will officially launch on Steam on Wednesday, September 30, and will also be available for purchase through INVEN GAMES after the release.
