Tarzan Delivers First MSI Win for Anyone’s Legend, Gears Up for Gen.G Showdown

On July 3, 2025, at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada, during the first round of the Bracket Stage at MSI 2025, Anyone’s Legend jungler Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong reflected on his team’s 3–1 victory over FlyQuest and shared his mindset ahead of the upcoming clash with Gen.G. He highlighted that this win carried extra weight as both AL’s first international triumph and his personal first at MSI, while also providing a measured analysis of their play.

Tarzan admitted relief at securing the series win but felt the team’s performance did not meet their own expectations. He stressed the importance of sharpening their preparations for future matches. When asked whether the status of being the LPL’s top seed created additional pressure, he explained that any added stress simply stemmed from the intensity with which they treat each practice session as a live competition, a diligence he takes pride in.

He attributed the loss of the opening game to initial nerves following a lengthy break, noting that everyone on the roster, himself included, appeared somewhat tense. After that first map, he said the squad quickly took stock, refocused its approach, and entered the subsequent games with much stronger preparation—a shift that paved the way for three straight map victories.

On the topic of Vi’s struggling 1–6 record in the current meta, Tarzan pointed out that while the champion can excel in late-game team fights, the prevailing early-skirmish–focused environment repeatedly exposes her weaker opening phase. He concluded that Vi is not well suited for defensive scenarios in this patch.

Despite acting as AL’s in-game leader throughout the series, Tarzan remained modest about his personal contributions, describing his own play as routine and acknowledging a handful of minor errors. Nonetheless, he expressed confidence that, having overcome this initial challenge, the team will elevate its level even further in matches to come.

Looking ahead to the showdown with Gen.G, he admitted feeling a degree of intimidation given their reputation for excellence but pledged that AL would match that intensity in preparation to deliver a compelling contest. His determination was underscored by Gen.G head coach Kim "KIM" Jeong-soo’s own acknowledgment of AL as a formidable contender. When asked about facing Gen.G’s mid laner Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon once more, Tarzan lightened the mood by jokingly urging him to take it easy, much to the amusement of fans.
