Playwith Korea announced on the 7th that it is securing new growth engines by strengthening its business competitiveness, focusing on two pillars: the launch of new games slated for the second half of 2026 and the expansion of its IP licensing business.
The company plans to release the new MMORPG Seal M2 (tentative title) in the second half of this year, alongside a series of projects designed to maximize the value of the Rohan IP. Simultaneously, it aims to accelerate the establishment of a stable revenue base by actively expanding its global licensing business using its flagship IPs.
Seal M2 (tentative title) is being developed to satisfy both existing and new users by inheriting the legacy of the flagship Seal series while incorporating new content and systems. The company plans to enhance the game's quality through phased internal and external user testing before its official launch in the second half, with a policy of actively incorporating user feedback to strengthen service stability and content competitiveness.
Rohan Classic is a heritage preservation project that inherits the authenticity and brand value of Rohan, which has long been a pillar of the company. By reinterpreting the sentiment and core systems of the original Rohan Online for a modern service environment, the project aims to provide long-time fans with nostalgic and familiar gameplay experiences while offering new users the authentic fun of a classic MMORPG. Through this, the company plans to extend the brand's longevity and continuously strengthen its connection with users.
Alongside these two game services, Playwith Korea is actively expanding its IP business. The company plans to continue its strategy of increasing the global awareness of its IPs through its proprietary IP hub site, while reducing the risks associated with direct development and securing stable, license-based revenue streams. A key strategy is to enhance development efficiency and strengthen global competitiveness by securing a diverse lineup of games through collaborations with various external developers. The goal is to evolve its service-centric revenue structure into one that runs in parallel with its IP business, thereby laying the foundation for mid-to-long-term growth.
As part of this strategy, Playwith Korea signed a Seal IP licensing agreement with Thai game developer MAXION Games in the first half of this year. Playwith Korea and Playwith Games are maintaining close communication, continuously monitoring development progress, and strengthening cooperation to ensure a successful global service.
Furthermore, Playwith Korea is actively pursuing overseas business to expand its presence in the global gaming market. The company plans to hold business meetings with numerous global game companies at various international events, including the global game exhibition ChinaJoy, to actively identify additional IP licensing agreements and new business opportunities. Specific contract results and new business details will be disclosed sequentially in the future.
Playwith Korea stated that the second half of the year will be a critical turning point where the launch of new titles, the enhancement of core game value, and the expansion of the licensing business will take place simultaneously. The company added that it would build a stable growth foundation by thoroughly preparing to increase user satisfaction while diversifying its revenue structure.
