On the 30th, at the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) Play-In Stage Round 3 held at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Exhibition Hall 2, Team Liquid Honda defeated Karmine Corp to advance to the final qualifying round. Team Liquid will now face T1 for the final remaining spot in the main event. Karmine Corp’s journey at the 2026 MSI ends here.
Team Liquid took the first set, though the path to victory was not entirely smooth. 'Morgan' Park Ru-han's Gnar drew first blood against 'Canna' Kim Chang-dong's Vayne, giving Team Liquid an early momentum boost. However, the momentum shifted when 'Yeon's Tristana was solo-killed by 'Caliste's Ziggs during a back-and-forth exchange. Team Liquid eventually regained control by capitalizing on consecutive overextensions by 'Boussi's Camille, and they secured the win by winning a decisive team fight around the Baron pit.
The early game of the second set was a chaotic affair with both teams trading kills. During this phase, 'Josedeodo's Lee Sin grew rapidly, reaching the power level of a laner while single-handedly securing Dragon stacks. Although Team Liquid won a major skirmish in the top lane thanks to Lee Sin's performance, Karmine Corp attempted to stay in the game behind 'Caliste's Ezreal. Ultimately, however, a flawless Lee Sin—who finished with a staggering 13/0/7 KDA—carried Team Liquid to victory.
With match point in hand, Team Liquid tightened their focus for the third set. They gained momentum by scoring kills in both the top and bottom lanes simultaneously. Despite conceding Dragon stacks, they maintained their lead by consistently winning team fights, preventing Karmine Corp from reaching the Dragon Soul. After picking off 'Yike's Qiyana and securing the Baron, Team Liquid pushed into the enemy base, systematically dismantling the struggling Karmine Corp champions to easily destroy the final Nexus.
