'Project RX,' the latest subculture game from Nexon Games—the developer behind 'Blue Archive'—will also be released on consoles.
Nexon held its Q1 2026 earnings call today (the 14th). The presentation covered not only the performance of major existing titles like 'Dungeon & Fighter' and 'MapleStory' but also provided a broad overview of the company's internally developed new projects and publishing lineup.
Notably, 'Project RX,' for which little information had been shared beyond teaser videos and images, had its launch platforms confirmed during the call. The console release is particularly significant; while many domestic subculture games, including 'Blue Archive,' have launched on mobile and PC, console releases remain rare. Most subculture games that have launched or are slated for consoles tend to be open-world or field-exploration titles. Since the development team for 'Project RX' has consistently emphasized that it is not an open-world game, discussions regarding its platforms had previously focused on PC and mobile. However, with the announcement of a console version, it appears the company will gradually begin to reveal more details about the gameplay and in-game content.
'Project RX' is currently in development at the RX Studio under Nexon Games' IO Division. Its core concept centers on an immersive world where players live alongside beautiful girls. The game is being built with Unreal Engine 5, and a teaser video released on December 19 provided a glimpse into the daily lives of its 3D-rendered characters. Given the occult figures blurred in the teaser images and what appears to be a skill cutscene at the end of the teaser video, the game is expected to bring a world where daily life, mystery, and combat coexist to PC, mobile, and consoles.
Further updates on the development status of 'Project RX' will be shared via the official Nexon Games blog and other channels.
