Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-kyu) announced on the 12nd that it has added the new fighter 'Rock Howard' and implemented various content updates to its character-collecting AFK mobile RPG, 'The King of Fighters AFK' (developed by Netmarble Neo).
The newly added 'Rock Howard' is the son of Geese Howard and a disciple of Terry Bogard. He is a fighter with genius combat instincts, inheriting the techniques and will of two legendary fighters. He utilizes signature skills such as 'Deadly Rave Neo EX' and 'Raging Storm' and possesses the [Fury] synergy. 'Rock Howard' can be obtained through a pickup event running from June 11 to June 24. During the same period, a pickup event for other fighters with the [Fury] synergy will also be held.
In addition, a pre-festival event is underway ahead of the major 'Summer Festival' update scheduled for June 25. As part of the pre-festival, the 'Spooky Night Style' fighter revival event will run until July 8, with 'Iori Yagami' returning until June 24, followed by 'Mature' from June 25 to July 8. Character performance improvements have also been applied, and players can earn a total of 15k seasonal tokens—usable for summoning Spooky Night Style fighters—through seasonal attendance rewards and weekly coupons.
Content expansion updates have also been implemented. Major content, including stages, Void Sanctuary, City of Fury, Laboratory of Contradiction, Infinity Challenge, and Influence, has been further enhanced.
Additionally, the 'Lucky Elpy' event (June 15–19) will feature the legendary supporter 'Gai Tendo,' while the 'Ready Action!' event (June 18–July 1) will introduce the legendary pets 'Goldie' and 'Trumpie.'
'The King of Fighters AFK' is a character-collecting AFK mobile RPG based on SNK's iconic fighting game IP. It allows players to enjoy strategic battles by forming decks of 5 to 25 characters.
