Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-gyu) announced on the 29th that it has released the first update for its new action RPG, 'Monster Taming: STAR DIVE' (developed by Netmarble Monster), introducing the new character 'Mina.'

The newly added 'Mina' is a nine-tailed fox descended from a lineage of shrine maidens who serve the god of fate, playing a pivotal role in the game's lore. Highly admired and revered in the beastkin society of the Far East continent, she maintains a composed exterior while internally bearing the burden of her destiny as a shrine maiden.

'Mina' is a 5-star fire-attribute brawler character with explosive firepower. She attacks enemies using her flame orb, 'Hwaryeong-gu,' and when casting her ultimate skill, 'Hwaryeong Bunshin,' she deals massive fire damage while summoning a clone to fight alongside her. She is expected to show high synergy in various content when paired with characters that possess fire-attribute debuffs.

To celebrate this update, Netmarble is holding a four-week 'Mina' event recruitment starting April 29. Alongside this, a special event titled 'Flame That Gathers Afterimages' will be held, where players can uncover Mina's hidden story. Currency earned by completing event missions and clearing dungeons can be exchanged for various rewards, including the profile decoration LIVE background 'Mina: Precious Gift'.

In addition, various quality-of-life improvements have been implemented, including a filter for monster ring trait grades and an event story skip function.

'Monster Taming: STAR DIVE' is the successor to 'Monster Taming,' which led the popularization of the mobile collectible RPG genre after its release in 2013. The game features: #1 High-quality characters and story direction based on Unreal Engine 5; #2 A 'Monster Collecting' system for capturing, collecting, and synthesizing monsters; and #3 Real-time tag-based combat with a three-person party and thrilling action.

Since its official launch on April 15, 'Monster Taming: STAR DIVE' reached No. 1 in popularity on both major domestic app markets within a single day and also topped the popularity charts on both major app markets in Japan, drawing significant attention from global users.
