On the 23rd, Nexon released a teaser video and detailed information for its new PC title, 'Embers of the Uncrowned,' via its official YouTube channel.

This new PC-based dark fantasy MMORPG features fast-paced isometric combat and visceral, gory visual effects. Notably, the game adopts a 'Non-P2W' philosophy, eschewing excessive microtransactions that affect game balance to ensure a fair competitive environment where player skill and strategic judgment determine victory.

The game's narrative is set on a continent devastated by an elven invasion. Players take on the role of an illegitimate child of the Harborwell family who, after leaving home to become a mercenary, is drawn back to their homeland by fate. The core of the game involves reclaiming lost lands as the rightful lord and rebuilding the family legacy. Players will fight against corrupted entities and powerful elven forces, uncovering tragic stories and brutal secrets hidden throughout the world.

Combat in 'Embers of the Uncrowned' is designed so that brute force alone is not enough to win. Players must choose one of three distinct classes and master its mechanics: the 'Spectral Blade,' which uses a sword and agile techniques to cut down foes; the 'Executioner,' which delivers devastating blows with a massive axe; and the 'Stormbringer,' which suppresses enemies with storm and lightning magic. Each class has unique skills and traits, and players can design their own combat style by experimenting with skill gem combinations and diverse skill trees.

Cooperative content is also available for taking on powerful enemies that are too difficult to face alone. By joining forces with other players to defeat 'Territory Bosses' occupying the land, players can reclaim territory and restore their family's honor. As more regions are liberated, the player's settlement grows from a humble camp into a thriving city. Additionally, 'Raid' content, which requires perfect tactics and teamwork, allows players to challenge imposing bosses and earn valuable rewards.

Even in the heat of battle, players can express their individuality through detailed facial and body customization. The game supports a wide variety of outfit combinations for visual customization, with gender selection planned for a future update.

The progression system is multifaceted. Players can push their character's potential to the limit through equipment enhancement and by awakening ancient powers dormant in their bloodline. Along the way, they can recruit loyal companions to fight by their side, creating synergy effects as they grow together.

'Embers of the Uncrowned' has opened its Steam wishlist for global users, though as of the 23rd, access to the Steam page and official website is restricted within South Korea.
