Smilegate announced on Wednesday, the 22nd, that it has released a major content update for its all-class MMORPG 'LORDNINE' (developed by NX3 Games). The update introduces the 'Ability Awakening' system, 70 new awakened classes, the top-tier hunting ground 'Abyss of Primordial,' and a new world dungeon, 'Rift of Gluttony.'

The core of this update is the Ability Awakening system, which allows players to further develop abilities that have reached level 140, granting them more powerful stats and skill effects. An 8th ability slot has also been opened; players can unlock it by surpassing specialization level 101 to obtain an additional 'Ability Unlock Ticket.' Equipping an 8th ability allows players to combine four tag sets, enabling them to play as one of 70 new awakened classes that offer stronger stats than existing ones.

To provide new challenges, Smilegate has added the top-tier hunting ground 'Abyss of Primordial' and the new world dungeon 'Rift of Gluttony.' The Rift of Gluttony is accessible to characters level 85 and above with a combat power of at least 80,000, and it offers rewards such as 'Avatar Summon Tickets' and 'Special Equipment Refinement Stones' at each stage.

Smilegate also introduced 'Vowed Terenos Weapons,' which prevent destruction during enhancement. These items perform identically to existing mythical Terenos weapons but come with a 'Protection' effect randomly applied one to three times. When attempting an enhancement, one charge of the Protection effect is consumed to prevent the weapon from being destroyed. Players can toggle this protection on or off, allowing them to attempt enhancements at their desired levels without the risk of destruction.

Alongside the update, Smilegate is hosting eight events offering rewards such as 'Master Promotion Books,' 'Summon Boosting Boxes,' seasonal event buff items, and 'World Dungeon Recharge Tickets.' For all servers, the company will sequentially hold the #1 Spring Special Push Event, #2 Family Month Special Push Event, and #3 Warm Spring Box Event.

Excluding the new server 'Dinaferi,' all servers will host the #4 Family Month Special Attendance and Mission Event, where players can obtain items including mythical-grade equipment and accessory refinement stones. The Dinaferi server will feature the #5 Family Month Attendance and Mission Event and the #6 Dinaferi Special Push Event, providing various summon tickets and growth support items.
