Nvidia's cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, will officially launch in the Indian market on April 16.
The service, arriving 15 months after its initial announcement, will be rolled out primarily to those who pre-registered. Nvidia plans to send invitations to pre-registrants on a first-come, first-served basis, and users must accept their invitation within one week to begin cloud gaming.
Nvidia stated that to ensure service stability, it has built its own servers rather than relying on local partners in India. The GeForce Now servers in India are located in Mumbai, and Ultimate tier subscribers will be able to experience streaming at up to 360Hz at 1080p resolution using 'SuperPODs' equipped with RTX 5,080 GPUs.
The service supports a wide range of devices. The list includes Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as mobile operating systems like Android and iOS. It also covers select smart TVs from brands such as Samsung, LG, and Sony, along with handheld devices like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go.
Available titles at launch will include Fortnite, Counter-Strike 2, and Resident Evil Village. Nvidia stated that it plans to continuously expand its library, aiming to offer over 4,500 titles through integrated stores such as Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
Meanwhile, pricing for the GeForce Now service in India has not yet been disclosed. While the basic subscription tiers—Free, Performance, Ultimate, and Day Pass—are expected to be consistent with the global model, exact pricing will be revealed on the 16th, coinciding with the service launch.
