Bloober Team, the horror powerhouse known for the Layers of Fear series, is currently developing seven new horror titles, according to a report by GamesIndustry.biz.

Bloober Team is currently one of the most active developers in the horror genre. After making a name for itself with the Layers of Fear series, the studio developed Blair Witch in 2019 and The Medium in 2021. It has since expanded its influence by participating in the development of the SILENT HILL 2 remake, the second title in KONAMI's iconic horror franchise, in 2024. Furthermore, with the unveiling of its all-new survival horror title Cronos: The New Dawn last year, the studio has proven it possesses potential that extends beyond being just another horror game developer.

Bloober Team has recently expanded its team and announced the development of several new projects. Three new key hires have joined the studio: Tain Lyman, formerly of Activision and Wargaming, as Head of Development; Katia Baukov, formerly of CD Projekt Red and Techland, as Business Development Director; and Michał Gembicki, formerly of indie developer Claverter SA and CD Projekt Red, as Head of Global Distribution.

The addition of new talent is expected to provide further momentum to the titles currently in development. Of the seven titles known to be in the works at Bloober Team, only three have been revealed so far: Layers of Fear 3, an unnumbered SILENT HILL remake, and Project M, which is slated for release on Nintendo Switch 1/2; all are known to be horror games. The remaining four titles have yet to be disclosed.

Regarding the strategy of running multiple projects simultaneously, CEO Piotr Babieno explained that relying on a single title is too risky in the current market. However, he expressed a cautious stance on rapid expansion. "I don't want to build a company that grows recklessly and then solves its problems through restructuring," he said. "I want to build a company that overcomes industry challenges together and emerges stronger."
