Red Bull Faster 2026 returns with Trackmania finals in Amsterdam

Red Bull Faster will return in 2026, with the Trackmania competition set to conclude in Amsterdam on May 16th following a month-long online qualification process. According to a release, this year’s event will see players compete across eight custom maps, with two featuring Dutch-themed designs. Red Bull also stated that four new tournament-specific liveries had been created for the competition.

The tournament’s online qualifiers were scheduled to begin on April 3rd and run until May 2nd. During that period, players were expected to post their fastest possible times on a global leaderboard.

According to the release, the top 100 competitors from the first stage would advance to a second online qualifier, with the top eight ultimately earning places at the live grand finals in Amsterdam.

Red Bull Faster first launched in 2025, when the inaugural edition took place at Red Bull Racing’s MK-7 headquarters in Milton Keynes. That event featured eight finalists competing in front of a live audience, as well as viewers watching online.

For the 2026 edition, Øyvind ‘Wirtual’ Iversen was announced as the event’s on-air host and broadcast talent. Wirtual is one of Trackmania’s best-known content creators and has built a large following through videos and livestreams focused on the Ubisoft racing title.

According to the release, Wirtual would stream the competition across his YouTube and Twitch channels as players battled for the title.

Red Bull also said that a limited number of spectator tickets for the Amsterdam grand finals had gone on sale, allowing fans to attend the event in person.

Trackmania has remained one of esports and speedrunning’s more distinctive racing titles thanks to its time-trial format, community-made tracks and highly competitive leaderboard culture. Events such as Red Bull Faster have continued to lean into that formula by focusing on short, precision-heavy runs rather than traditional wheel-to-wheel racing.

The return of Red Bull Faster also showed continued brand interest in Trackmania as a spectator esport, particularly through creator-led broadcasts and live finals formats. With qualifiers opening in April and the final set for mid-May, this year’s edition will once again centre on finding the game’s fastest driver under tournament conditions.
